This is a section to talk about areas of endeavor for enterprise. As a starting point, we simply list and explore various industries.
Many more, to be classified on several dimensions, including several services taxonomies that I studied during my SSME days at Almaden. Users, purposes, etc.
What should we say about such a domain? Just a description of what kinds of things are being discriminated along that dimension. What is different about being a food manufacturer vs. a medical instrument manufacturer?
Agriculture, of course, begs to be broken into more specific types. Grain is much different to grow than Christmas trees, and rice is quite different from wheat. And then there are golf courses.
Agriculture was a major departure for humanity, and was the dominant source of work until fairly recently (in the sweep of history). Manufacturing took over top spot for awhile, and now agriculture itself is more and more like a form of manufacturing.
